Messages from Nehemiah
How can it be that God seems to have spoken so clearly and guided so directly about a particular venture you've taken on in His name - only to be met with severe opposition and testing?! Did I hear God wrong? Am I on the right track? Why isn't this journey of faith easier?
I don't know if you've ever asked questions like these, but if you read the Bible you will know that you are not alone. Following Jesus Christ in obedience is no guarantee that life will go smoothly. In fact, the very opposite seems to be the case. Every God-given vision will be tested by fire - and it is in the fires that the servant of God is refined, and the vision is fortified.
Nehemiah was a strong leader - but it is significant to note that he was quick to drop to his knees in times of opposition. Reminds me of Bob Carlisle's song... "If you see me on my knees, it's not because I'm weak, I'm getting stronger!"Messages from Nehemiah
