Far too many can't compete in the workplace partly because they lack computing skills... they are transferring that lack on to students...

If it wasn't true there would be a lot more teachers putting their own networks together...
Networks are easy to assemble with LTSP. Hardware is free for the asking. Most teachers just don't know how to use a computer effectively or know how to demand more from the community in a coherent solution based manner and so teachers keep pushing paper... and boring students into boring jobs that Flatworlders will take...
