Jodine DeVargas grew up
in the small western
Massachusetts town of
West Granville. The oldest
of seven children, she was
raised on a small farm
where her mom loved to tell stories about the history of the area.
Storytelling became a part of the children’s lives as they sat around the old soapstone fireplace.
Jodine finally realized her childhood dream of going to Paris and she brought home Parisian stories of her own to tell her nieces and nephews, keeping the storytelling tradition alive in the family. Encouraged by her college writing and French professors, Jodine knew her first story would be about the place she fell in love with.
The Eiffel Tower launches a new series of grand adventures as seen through the eyes of children. These stories will expose children to the wonders of far away lands in two languages. Through Children’s Grand Adventures, children will be encouraged to discover worlds beyond their own backyards.Jodine DeVargas grew up
