This system features a Denso Robot arm combined with a laser marking system. Both systems were coupled together by Control Micro System laboratories located in Winter Park, Florida. The robot holds a part and moves it around at different angles to be laser etched for texturing. Using a robotic system allows for odd-shaped parts to be etched at multiple angles as seen in this video. Systems like this could be used to build parts such as the medical industry or sporting goods. CMS has more videos on their web sites of other amazing projects that they have worked on for large corporations all around the world. CMS has built systems for people such as Boeing, Bose, Caterpillar, Daimler Chrysler, Delphi, General Electric, Honeywell, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Langley AFB, Lockheed Martin, Pfizer, Raytheon, Siemens, Texas Instruments and Tupperware just to name a few. This is only a small listing of a very large client base that they have. This system features a Denso Robot arm combined with a laser marking system.
