jQuery is a fast, concise, JavaScript Library that simplifies how you traverse HTML documents, handle events, perform animations, and add Ajax interactions to your web pages. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript. This presentation will introduce you to the major concepts behind JQuery including how to leverage its power in conjunction with other Ajax and Javascript libraries. We will look at a series of live code examples to demonstrate the power of JQuery to reduce many lines of Javascript to just a line or two of JQuery. We will also look at plugins available for use with JQuery as well as a quick overview of plugin development. This presentation is a basic to medium level presentation and requires a beginning understanding of web development technologies including HTML, Javascript, Ajax, DOM.
