Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Still Speaks to Us Today: Riverside Church, 4-4-67
17:32  - 1 year ago
A carefully edited-for-today version of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic speech at New York's Riverside Church on April 4, 1967 -- delivered exactly one year to the day before he was gunned down in Memphis. Dr. King speaks not only of civil rights, but of peace, economic justice, and a turning away from greed and materialism, in a speech still remarkably resonant today. (Speech and photo collage edited by John Quinlan, recipient of the 2008 City of Madison, WI Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award.)
