27:27  - 2 years ago
Cosmetic Surgery: From botox to breast implants, more than 10 million cosmetic procedures are performed each year in the United States. In this interview, Dr. Ron Silverman, head of plastic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, discusses the increase in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures to treat wrinkles. These include botox, restalyne and laser treatments for pigment changes and hair removal. The program also looks at advances in plastic surgeries such as eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty), face lifts, mini face lifts and neck lifts. In the second half of the show, Dr. Silverman discusses liposuction, tummy tucks, nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) and breast surgery, including breast augmentation and reduction.
