Tardigrade revival
00:12  - 2 years ago
Tardigrades (water bears, tardigrada) are cute microscopic animals. Typically they live in small water droplets on mosses. When the moss becomes dry the tardigrades stop metabolism and form so-called "tuns", i.e. a dry state. A droplet of water is enough to revive them. The video shows a time-lapse sequence of a tardigrade rehydration and revival (speed 150x). Copyright: www.tardigrades.com
