Tanglewood CFL Project
04:45  - 3 years ago
This clip features an energy efficiency project in Gainesville, Florida, from its inception in August to its completion in November, 2006. A 208-unit, multi-family graduate student apartment complex was refitted with Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL's) over a 3 day period, resulting in a potential load reduction of 123 kVa. The project was proposed by UF's Office Sustainability, and executed by a partnership consisting of UF's Department of Housing, Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU), and the International Carbon Bank and Exchange (ICBE). More information on the project can be found by visiting Climate Change Resources / Climate Neutrality Projects at http://sustainability.ufl.edu/forum/ For more information on CFL's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_fluorescent_lamp
