"Christians Don't Celibrate Easter" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com and sites.google.com/site/AV1611Reformation delivered on April 12, 2009.
Perhaps not unsurprisingly considering Rome's influence, much of so-called Christian "tradition" regarding the commemoration of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is really a corruption of early Christian belief and practice by an admixture of ancient pagan fertility rites in homage to Ishtar (Astarte), Persephone and variations on the theme of the glorification of the "Queen of Heaven" "Mother of God" and "The Matrix". If your Resurrection day commemoration has as much to do with bunnies, eggs and hot cross buns, as with the central tenet of Christian faith which comes with the promise of eternal life, you need to reevaluate where you stand with regard to your spiritual heritage.

Pastor Turner finished with a reading from "The Two Babylons" by Rev. Alexander Hislop which was first published in 1853 and shows how the Roman Catholic religion polluted Christianity over the centuries by incorporating pagan rituals into the liturgy for the sake of accomodation with the people who were being added to the ranks of Catholicism from throughout the empire. Lent and Easter are NOT pure Christianity.
