This is one of the many teams competing in the horse pull competition at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, VT. The objective is for each team of horses to pull the sled loaded with blocks a certain distance. They keep adding weight to the sled until there is a winner. I believe the sled had around 6,000 pounds of weight on it at this time and if I recall correctly it was the "3,400" class, meaning that the total weight of the two *horses* could be 3,400 pounds.
