Scientist Willy Lay appears on the Longines Chronoscope to discuss reports of Unidentified Flying Objects. It is Lay’s opinion that UFO reports are mistaken in interpretation and only 15% of reports are mysterious in origin. Lay points out that it is unlikely that UFOs are secret experiments by any armed force or are of interplanetary origin. More likely explanations include natural phenomena like meteors or sky balloons with instrumentation. Within his lifetime, Lay expects man to enter space and suggests that an agency be organized to promote space travel.
