Birdwise Video Magazine - September 2007
28:45  - 2 years ago
A monthly video on birding based in Olympia Washington, featuring noted birders from the Black Hills Audubon Society and the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. This edition includes a discussion of two types of breeding strategies: birds who produce many eggs which when hatched are more developed and mobile but are vulnerable to predation versus birds who produce fewer eggs but have to nurture them through a helpless, dependent period. This show includes a segment on killdeer and the broken-wing distraction display. The featured bird of the month is the cedar waxwing.
