In May 2002, a new Cancer Care Center opened which was the first in DuPage County to offer Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy. It also has one of one of the area s leading Cardiac Care Units, a state of the art Health and Wellness Center with fitness equipment, group exercise classes, three indoor pools and an extensive array of educational programs.
The expansion of the Hospital s Critical Care Unit is scheduled for completion in summer 2005 and will further the hospital's commitment to providing the finest critical care. The unit will provide treatment for serious conditions that require ongoing monitoring, such as heart attacks, strokes, severe accidents or illnesses, or complex surgeries.
Residents have many options for non-emergency and off-hour medical needs. More than 600 doctors, 100 dentists and a variety of other practitioners serve our community.
