Veteran CIA Analyst Ray McGovern speaks at the Fair World Fair in Brunswick, Georgia in the summer of 2004.
The Fair World Fair (FWF) was an effort by activists to re-frame the focus of demonstrations to education
about current world affairs and politics. The FWF wrapped a TOES-USA conference (www.toes-usa.org) where
economists spoke about negative and positive impacts of globalization.
In this video, McGovern speaks about the film Truth Uncovered and the events leading up to the Iraq War.
McGovern served under seven U.S. presidents over 27 years and presented the morning intelligence briefings
at the White House for many years.
McGovern has become an outspoken critic of the current Bush administration, and together with other former
CIA employees, founded the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity or VIPS. The organization is
dedicated to exposing what these former Intelligence professionals believe to be the mishandling of
important intelligence, specifically relating to the War in Iraq.
