This video is based on the "Jonestown Death Tape" aka "FBI Tape No. Q-042". The audio is the complete 45-minute recording of the Reverend Jim Jones giving his fateful last sermon. Some of his congregation can be heard interacting verbally with Jones while others are in the background poisoning themselves and their children with deadly doses of potassium cyanide in a so-called act of "revolutionary thuithide".
The video portion is a compilation of cult images and footage from the PBS "American Experience" segment titled "Jonestown: The Life and death of Peoples Temple". The show is available on DVD and is, so far, the most complete and comprehensive Jonestown documentary ever produced.
