USMA West Point Acceptance Day Video August 2007 part 1 of 2

This home video includes the first of two parts on Acceptance Day at West Point in which New Cadets are welcomed into the USMA Corp of Cadets. Video was taken from a vantage point on the far stands in which the entire Corp was filmed both from a distance capturing formation movements and in close-ups (using 15-30 times zoom) as the entire Corp passed in review allowing for individual identification of most cadets (i.e. you must download the video to see faces, as live streaming is low-resolution).
The A-Day Parade continues on part 2 of this video, but it also covers picnic activities at South Dock, ice cream in Highland Falls, Sunday Mass at the Catholic Chapel and Plebes returning to the barricks before Sunday curfew. A confirmed sighting of Jean Marie was captured on film at South Dock (some may remember her on the March Back video as ~15 cadets did push-ups in her honor) and several plebes from H Company had a chance to explain why they deserved best company and that their supposedly sloppy rooms should not have been a factor in the decision. The G Company rebuttal has not been provided.
The frame quality of the original 640 x 480 avi video file will be reduced by Google to 320 x 240 after it is uploaded and its file size will drop from 860 MB to approximately 215 MB.
