05:44  - 2 years ago
The Purdue Peace Awarness Fast and Encampment (PPAFE) was the result of the frustration that many in the West Lafayette community felt about the Bush Administration's decision to go to war despite the huge displays of opposition around the world. A "Coalition of The Willing" for PEACE, made up of many Purdue Student Organization, was formed to provide support to the students and community members who camped fasted. The PPAFE began on March 24th, 2003 and continued for two weeks, ending and April 7th, 2003.
