February 2009 marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth, as well as the 150th anniversary of the publication of his most important work, On the Origin of Species. To mark and celebrate this important occasion, Washington State University held a series of events during the week of February 16, 2009 to celebrate the life of a man whose ideas have helped shape our modern world. All events were free and open to the public.
