Traffic crashes claim the lives of more than 43,000 people in this country each year. While most fatalities involve adults, more than one child dies each day in a traffic related crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that deaths and injuries among children could be reduced if parents would always buckle up their children in a child safety seat appropriate for their age and size.
