Ruth Lewin Sime is the author of the acclaimed 1996 biography of Lise Meitner, co-discoverer of nuclear fission. Sime visited Michigan State University's National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory on Friday, February 1, 2008 for a discussion of Meitner, who overcame many obstacles as a woman and a Jew during the course of her career.
