The Reunion Pool parties began in 1998 when a group of friends from Tampa, Florida threw an impromptu pool party at the old Hyatt Orlando with a young relatively unknown dj named Roland Belmares from Austin, Texas. Founders Brian Bottorff, Rob Iles, Michael Paonessa, and Mike Peace from Tampa started the parties to bring together diverse groups of gay friends from around the country - and World. Reunion, the largest annual pool parties in the World was sold to circuit party promoter Johnny Chisholm in 2003, and are one of the highlights of the Gay Day festivities in Orlando held the first Saturday in June.
