Eighteen students from various New England high schools spent the day in Washington, D.C. to take action on the situation in the Darfur region of Sudan. To encourage others to act, the students worked together to create a powerful and thought-provoking multimedia project, entitled “Projections”. In this video montage, they projected non-graphic images from Darfur onto a wall and inserted themselves in the pictures, adding compelling text and voice-overs. Through this activist piece, students hope to demonstrate how we each have the responsibility to care for and act on behalf of others.
