Business & Industry Hurricane WV - Business is “booming” in Hurricane, Putnam County and along the Advantage Valley Corridor, which includes twelve counties across West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. The community benefits from a network of highways, barge traffic on the Kanawha River, and the Amtrack, Norfolk Southern and CSX Railroad service and airports located in Charleston and Huntington. Major local employers include Putnam County Schools, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Rite Aid Distribution Center, John Amos Power Plant, Putnam General Hospital, U.S. Food Service and Flexsys, America.
