Pleateau. The Canyon botom below Yavapai Point is 2,400 feet above sea level, 4,500 feet below the South Rim and 5,400 feet below the North
Rim-making an average depth of about one mile. The Colorado river is one of the great river system in the US, over 1400 miles long and it
drains total nearly 12% of the US. Scientists estimate that the Canyon has taken from three to six million years to cut the Grand Canyon. The
work no means finished by the powerful forces of the rushing river,of rain, snow, heat, frost and wind. Still sculpting the fantastic
