The Tope is a very shy shark. It has a very long tail, looking somewhat like a thresher. When you encounter one you need to be very still and very quite which is not easy to do on scuba. Usually ny the time your buddy turns around or you swing your camera around they are gone or if you are lucky you might see their tail as the hightail it away.
