This is the sixth video lecture in a series about the information technology revolution, vis-a-vis long time UC Berkeley Professor Manuel Castells' work. This video focuses on Social Political Environments in relation to the Internet that took shape as the World Wide Web became popular in the mid-late 1990s. I created this video for a course I teach on "Society and Information Technology," online only here and on Berkman island in Second Life, the 3-D virtual world - http://socinfotech.pbwiki.com.
