State Representative Cindy Evans hosted this meeting to update West Hawaii on the depleted uranium found at Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island.
Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, Kealakehe High School, Kailua, Kona HI
Col. Killian, U.S. Army Deputy Director of the Army Installation Management Command and Russ Takata of the Department of Health's Noise, Radiation, and Indoor Air Quality Division, were guest speakers. Col. Mark Melanson of Walter Reed Medical Center answers a few questions as does Dr. James Morrow.
This video is a record of that event. Col. Killian's lecture cuts off a couple minutes short due to a technical error. The Army anticipates completion of a health risk assessment by January or February. West Hawaii residents' statements follow his lecture.
