When the wheel rotates, the magnetic field M projected onto the sensor's center line C, changes angle omega. The angle omega is detected by a highly sensitive magnetic field sensor. As little as one degree is enough to detect motion. Knowing the diameter of the wheel the sensor calculates linear distance, speed and acceleration - change of speed per second, and transmits it to your phone via Bluetooth®.
