This is a video documentary and travelogue of an elite amateur radio competition, the 3rd World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC), held in the beautiful European country of Slovenia in July, 2000. Ham radio operators from all over the world competed using voice and Morse code to make as many radio contacts as possible within a limited time period.
"The Ham Radio Olympics" was photographed and narrated by Dave Bell, W6AQ, and made possible by the Yasme Foundation (www.yasme.org), and the Northern California DX Foundation (www.ncdxf.org).
WRTC 2000 was organized by the Slovenia Contest Club (lea.hamradio.si/scc), led by Tine Brajnik, S50A.
