Sabri Brothers - Man Kun To Maula
25:15  - 2 years ago
A manqabat in praise of Ali Maula. The Sabri brothers originally consisted of Haji Ghulam Fareed Sabri (1930 in Kalyana, East Punjab - 1994 in Karachi), Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri (October 12, 1945 in Kalyana ) and Party. The Sabri Brothers were taught music by their father, Ustad Haji Inayat Sen Sabri who was also a qawwal. He taught his sons about qawwali and North Indian classical music. The family claims to be descended from Mian Tansen, one of the greatest and most legendary Hindustani musicians of all time. Tansen was a musician in the court of Mughal Emperor Akbar and is credited with miraculous powers of musicianship. Contact me if you want me to put up more qawwali or hindustani classical recordings, or if you have some rare ones. Qawwali translations are welcome.
