This video was made for my wife as a small gift to her on her birthday. It is the result of a mass ejecta from the sun a few days earlier, giving us an amazing aurora storm! My wife and I had been watching a movie that night and I happened to glance outside and noticed what she calls a "moonbow"-- a slight glow that arcs high over the sky in the pressence of an approaching storm. So I gave her the look-- the "I wanna go photograph this" look. She complied and so we drove in the darkness of the North Dakota country. And just before we gave up to go home, it all started...
