Time of the Soji (school cleaning in Japan)
04:06  - 3 years ago
Soji is a national tradition in Japan. It's when the students clean the school everyday after lunch. This is an introduction to the Soji tradition for the unknowing foreigner in music video/parody form. My school wanted to motivate their students to do a good job so they used the Rocky soundtrack as the music played over the loudspeakers as the students cleaned. After New Year's they changed the soji song to boring piano music because they said the students were so energized by the music that they were fooling around instead of cleaning. Enjoy. Some Japanese words used: Soji (cleaning), Zokin (rag used for wiping floors), gomi (trash).
