Intercambios de sombreros pasaron varias veces en Villanueva aquel a�o. Los sombreros son importantes porque son s�mbolos del pa�s de cada quien. Cantan en uno de los estilos puertorrique�os llamado �seis�, tambi�n popular en Panam�, Bebito: Esta rima fue muy bella / Contestarle me dispongo / si el sombrero te lo pongo / consigues muchas doncellas. / Ahora s� soy una estrella / me siento un borinque�o / y les canto con empe�o / Isidro es mu compa�ero / pero el que con mi sombrero / yo creo que es m�s paname�o. / Isidro: Qu� precioso es Panam� / Que lindo es mi Borinqu�n / que mi c�ntico tambi�n / me interpretan por all� / Este te visitar� / All� estar� en tu jard�n / y en este lindo conf�n / para que este pueblo goce / ir� Jos� Agusto Broce / para que toque el viol�n. / Isidro is a hat collector and has just asked Bebito for his prized �sombrero pintado�. Hat exchanges took place several times in Villanueva that year. Hats are important because they are symbols of each person�s country. They sing in one of the many seis styles typical of Puerto Rico, and also popular in Panama.
