After the experiencing poor snow conditions on Nokhu Crags the previous weekend we were intent on finding a north facing couloir to climb - we found one on the north side of Flattop Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park. According to Gillett, Flattop Gully saw its first ascent by Topher Donahue only 7 years ago in 1999.
